My forte lies at the intersection of Design Strategy, Human Experience and Brand Expression in space. I use the term “space” not just as a reference to physical & built experiences but also as a reference to digital spaces that brands continue to live in, through our evolved nature of interactions.
How can story become form?
Designing brand experiences that inspire stories of human connection...
My relationship with design began right from when I was a mischievous curly haired 6-year-old. My parents often tell me that if there was silence in the house, it meant I was up to something and they would run to find me with my hands deep in some sort of gunk, with smears of this oddly colored slime across the walls, the floor and of course myself. It seems as if my body knew, before I did, that I was born with the hands and the mind of a creator. My passion to bring people closer together and have my work inspire impactful moments of human connection is why I am a designer. I create interaction and conversation that inspires meaningful connection between people and the experiences that I bring to their lives. The creative intention behind my work is to spark emotion that leaves a positive impact on my audience.
Storytelling is at the heart of what I do and how I see the world. Through meaningful use of technology, I bring people closer together and build brand experiences that influence positive growth and change. My process is driven by our human emotion and is inspired by the little moments that breathe color into our everyday lives. My strengths lie at the intersection of Design Strategy, Human Experience and Brand Expression in space. I use the term “space” not just as a reference to physical & built experiences but also as a reference to digital spaces that brands continue to live in, through our evolved nature of interactions.
Over the years, I’ve learnt through a lot of my experiences, both personally and professionally, that "comfort and growth don’t go hand in hand" and that has been the driving force to challenge myself and learn as much as I can, along the way. With the pandemic, our very understanding of Space has changed. Its expression has moved from being restricted to the physical world, to expanding into the virtual, where time, movement and experience have no boundaries and definition. There exists no limits. My work takes you through projects that have challenged the concept of “Space”, in the same way. As a Brand Experience Designer, I am placed in a variety of settings and scenarios, giving me the opportunity to dive into a broad spectrum of work.
My Principles of Design
My Principles of Design
It all begins with understanding “why”. Thinking FOR your user rather than OF. Being sensitive towards who you’re creating for and understanding the “why”behind the ask, is the stepping stone to my process.
Concepts that I create are experientially driven. I map out the experience I’m trying to capture and work backwards from there. This helps me shape every element of my project through a more user centric approach.
I focus on using interaction as the main lens for my projects, to build more intimate relationships between the user and the experience. By using a sensorial approach, I aim at creating a stronger impact through my work.
We’ve grown up building relationships with space and people through stories that we were told. I use stories as a way to build stronger and more personal connections. Storytelling is my tool to create powerful experiences.
